Daniel Rodgers of the Fine Arts department conducted a “critiquing art” workshop to Lyricist staffers in February.
Rodgers covered the fundamentals of critiquing art, and the presentation focused on elements of graphic design, pointers for judging art and photography, and how to technically assess these mediums. Rodgers provided a “critiquing art” handout for the staffers, and a thorough slide presentation with examples from both commercial and classic art.
The presentation to the Lyricist staffers, followed by a brief question and answer session, marked the third liaison between the Fine Arts and English departments, both schools in the College of Arts and Sciences, the oldest college within Campbell University. The workshop attended by the following staffers:
Victoria Berger, Justin Bradley, Jessica Inscore, Greg Thomas, Kaitlyn Rogers, Chase Clary, Chris Weston, Ashleigh Bilodeau, Nicole Kessler, Matthew Eberle and faculty advisor Nathan Salsbury.
